Take the Lead

Leadership can be described as releasing someone’s potential in a team. The students in this team learn to engage in activities that would help each other in attaining their goals. It may also lead the students in accomplishing the tasks with cooperation, discipline, and courage so that the team will have a successful outcome of their tasks. Therefore, there should be one person or a group of people who would take a lead and guide the members in such team. These are the leaders who are in charge or in command of others. They play a significant role in performing certain tasks in achieving the set aims of a particular team.
Hence, the Guidance and Counseling Center conducted the Leadership Training Seminar for Elementary and High School class officers. We consider these class officers as already the leaders in their respective classrooms, guiding their classmates and directing their fellow students to having a better learning experience in their classes. This Leadership Training Seminar aimed at helping them to strengthen their leadership skills as well as develop teamwork among themselves as classroom leaders. They were being helped in realizing and in taking into actions the responsibilities that were entrusted to them when they were chosen by their classmates. The said activity was entitled “This Way” and was held at the SEC AVR last June 28-29, 2010. The resource persons were Ms. Cristine Diorella G. Juat and Mrs. Jennifer L. Bautista for the elementary and high school levels respectively.
