ALUMNI HOMECOMING
It was time for
batches ’82, ’83, and ’84 to come home to school last February 17,
2012. Everybody was all accounted for and had a beautiful Friday afternoon.
Batch ’82 came in their yellow T-Shirts and was very proud in displaying their
attire. The program started with a tour of the campus led by Mr. John Ross
Ignacio, batch 2002. After the tour everybody converged at the Audio
Visual Room for the program proper. Ms. Kristine Osano of batch 92
emceed the program. A prayer started the activity and followed by the
introduction of the different batches. Everyone was happy and noisy as the
batches were being acknowledged.
The School Director, Mr. Rene Daquiz
was on hand to welcome the alumni. He spoke and expounded on the various
developments that the school underwent since the time he took over as one of the
administrators. He mentioned the improvement in the academic curriculum of SEC,
the additional physical facilities, and the scholarship program offered to
students of the public schools, among others.
The alumni for their part make some donations to the
school. Batch ‘83 donated sports equipment and school
supplies while batch ’82 surprised everybody with their
donation of Php 40,000.00 as an additional amount to the
Scholarship Program of SEC.
It was a very enjoyable and
successful day for the different batches and the school left an invitation for
them to come next year for another alumni homecoming, and the grand one slated
on the school’s 70th Anniversary.
